WANTED: Abhishek Patel

Are you Abhishek Patel? Or do you know anybody by that name? If yes read on...

Abhishek was a good friend of mine back in school. He left Ahmedabad in 1995 (after 8th Std) and went to Mumbai. We exchanged a few letters for about a year and then we lost touch. I have been trying to trace him since 2 years but no success... Here is hoping that somebody stumbles upon this page...

You came to Ahmedabad in 1992 and left Ahmedabad in 1995.
You studied in Prakash Higher Secondary School when you were in Ahmedabad.
Your house in Ahmedabad was somewhere in the Paldi area.
You had a Hero Mach 1 bicycle.
You used to go to NCC (Naval wing) in the 7th and 8th standard.
You were the CR (Class Representative) in 8th standard.
Your father's name is Amrutlal (or maybe spelled as Amritlal). He used to work for LIC India.
You had an elder brother named Akash (not very sure about this) who had a Suzuki Shogun bike.
You had a Pomeranian dog named Honey.
You went to Mumbai after leaving Ahmedabad.

Another old batchmate I

Another old batchmate I would really try anf get to is Yusuf Khambhaty, same old NCC batch, he left the same year as aishway did, 7th standard, never heard about him after tat.....

Somebody mentioned Yusuf to me in the past 1 year. I think it was Janak but I am not sure. Somebody from the gang was in touch with him when he was in Mumbai.

Maybe we should open another site named lost-prakash-friends or something :-)

Wow! Google Blog Search is really fast

I posted this about 1.5 hours ago and it has already been indexed by Google Blog Search. I am impressed.

Of course the fact that the Blog Search spider crawls feeds and not the site itself make its task much easier.

A Google Blog Search for Abhishek Patel throws up this entry as the 1st one. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I like that idea. Just like www.classmates.com we can have www.lostmates.com.

By the way, about 3-4 years back I was in touch with Abhishek. He was in UK at the time and was just accepted into Cambridge University. After that he completely disappeared. When I send him e-mails to the address I have for him, they are bouncing back. I was looking at the Cambridge University website but their student directory search is with last name and Initials - instead of first name. If anyone happens to know his initials there is a chance we can contact him.

The picture on the blog is from Halloween of 1999 here in the US. I was dressed up as an evil mime! It was fun :) I'll be changing it once in a while. I started this blog just last week, so it is very slowly developing.

Abhishek's dad's name is Amrutlal (or maybe Amritlal). Does that help?

Aditya Modi is hale and healthy in Ahmedabad. He is a member of the school Yahoo! group. I meet him approx 1 or 2 times in a year. Last we (many of the gang) met him on Utrayan.

I do not know about any of the Amits... Maybe others can shed some light on this
