Completed an year in TCS
Exactly 1 year ago (it was a Monday) I joined TCS at their Corporate Learning Centre (CLC), Trivandrum.
What kind of emotions does this entail? Hmmmm... The completion of 1 year, at least in the life of a fresher has a special significance. Simply because:
- I can cite a whole year of experience in my resume. When you are 23 and in your first job this does seem like a big deal. Though I am sure many years down the line I will think about this moment and simply smile.
- My 'probation' period is over. I get confirmed which effectively means I get more moolah next month onwards :-)
- I go from being an ASE-T to an ASE. I am no longer a 'trainee'. ASE stands for "Assistant Systems Engineer" by the way.
I am sure there must be a flurry of emails on the groups mailing list, I haven't checked my mail yet so I am not sure. I SMSed everybody in the morning today and also got back some replies.
So T39ers and all the other batches who joined TCS on this day last year: Congrats!
I also want to do some retrospection and want to write about the glorious period that was ILP but those will be the topics of some other posts some other day.
