To make a short story long a few backs Sobha reestablished contact with me. We had been emailing each other more frequently than usual and one fine day she tells me that she has got a job with MCX in Mumbai. Fine. I was happy. I go to Mumbai once in a while we could meet more often. More importantly I can call her from office and it won't cost me a penny, so we can talk more often :-)

Then she dropped a so-called actually-not-so-shocking shocker (her term). Sobha has got engaged and the lucky guy is Jipson.

Jipson is with TCS (Pune), is a finance guy and is generally onsite/abroad. For the last 2 weeks or so since Sobha told me about Jipson, I have been calling him 'Jitson' and NOT Jipson. I must have mentioned his name to Sobha at least tens of times but great Sobha never corrected me. I even SMSed her once asking for Jipson's mobile number and still no correction. Height of laziness.

It so happened that I had a workshop to attend today that was being conducted at Rajashree office of TCS Pune and Jipson is currently based there. So I called him up (again calling him Jitson!) and we met up. It would be a slight understatement if I say that I was surprised. Sobha, I realized, had grossly misled me all along. She had made me believe that Jipson was this introvertish shy guy who talks very little. And Jipson is nothing like that. It is then I realized that Sobha had set me up all the way. Grrrrrrrr...... !

I am going to avenge this with Sobha one way or another (sly evil grin on my face).

It was nice talking to Jipson. We had a cup of coffee and talked for about 20 minutes. I asked him about his work and could not understand half the things he said. Totally outside my domain. We did't talk much about Sobha. I don't know whether he was more scared of that or whether I was more wary :-)

He was quite busy and my workshop session was about to begin so we decided to meet up some other time. *Hint* Maybe in Brussels *Hint* :-)

Note: This post has been deliberately pre-dated to reflect more accurately when the event/incident took place. I had written all this a week back but could not post it due to some problems.
