The order to blacklist certain sites, issued by DoT to all ISPs in India is now old news. I don't have anything original to add to the issue... everything that should be said has been said.

I was in Chennai for a couple of days on an official trip and did not know something like this was happening... the first inkling I got of something of both sad and funny was when waiting to board the plane at Chennai.

Needless to say the Government or CERT-IN or DoT or whichever body has initiated this is totally inept and clueless about blogs and the Internet. It scares me to think that these are the morons with powers to influence the Internet and take policy decisions about it in India. Funnily even the so called technology correspondents who wrote about this on various news sites seemed ignorant about the terminology and the technology behind blogs.

I have just enabled comment moderation on this blog. I have never wanted to do this and prefer that reader comments appear as soon as they are posted but the excessive amount of spam hitting this blog lately has left me with no choice.

Henceforth all comments by unauthenticated readers (i.e. unregistered users) will appear only after approval by me. Registered and logged in users can comment without their comments being sent to the moderation queue... if you want your comments to appear immediately without needing approval from me you get get create a new user account for yourself and use that to comment here.

Saturday silliness returns. That too technically on a Sunday. Go figure.

Yawn. It's past two in the night... my body wants to sleep but my mind is wide awake... and of course I am going to listen to my mind. I have always been a nocturnal creature... sleep during the day and work/play during the night. I love nighttime... everybody (almost) is asleep, it is quiet, it is cool and I am usually at my best. I have had some of the most productive hours in my life at night :-) However lately this office routine has brought about some normalcy to my preferred working hours... maybe I should try to change all that. Hmmmmm.

Zooomr is giving out free pro accounts to bloggers and who am I to say no? So here is a photo uploaded to Zooomr and posted to my blog to claim a pro account. Only thing is checkout is how good zooomr really is, especially compared to other similar services. And they have not really mentioned the duration for which the account will remain pro, I guess it should be an year but I will have to check it out.

Btw I look cute, don't I?
