Live 8: An effort.
I first read about this Live 8 thingy on Technorati a few days back and I did't give it much attention. I read many things on the web everyday and my mind instinctively ignored this new piece of information because it seemed to me that Live 8 was simple a mega concert or something. And of course I was not interested in concerts.
However over the past few days I was stumbling across this Live 8 thing in a number of places. It popped up in the most unexpected of places and this tickled my curiosity. After all even a mega conert cannot whip up such a frenzy in the blogosphere. I went back to Technorati to find out what all the hype was all about.
Turns out that I was very much off the mark (but Live 8 does have concerts and stuff).
Too lazy to blog
Yikes... its a bit odd isn't it? Setting up a blog and not writing anything in it since almost half a month. Bad. Very bad.
Well... the only excuse I have is that I am too lazy to actually put into words what I think. I have decided to change all that and try and blog more often. Don't get me wrong. I actually love to put up stuff I think up on the Net... it is just the initial barrier of effort and willpower that prevents me.
Over the past many days I have been making minor changes to my lifestyle. I have decided to become less lazy, more pro-active and manage my time better. Updating my blog more often is an integral part of this strategy.
Hmmmm.... another reason why I have not been blogging more freuquently can be possibly termed as the Techie's Syndrome. I loved evaluating different CMSes, setting up my own blog (using Drupal), installing and tweaking various modules, designing a new look and feel for the site and so on. This is what every techie loves to do... get his/her hands dirty (Why else do you think I have 4 different OSes installed on my home PC?).
The hard part came after more or less everything was in place... actually blogging :-)
