Home trip
I came back to Pune early morning yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip home and I wish I could stay there for a few more days.
The bus ride to Ahmedabad was more comfortable than I had expected and wonder of wonders the bus arrived in Ahmedabad on schedule. This made the entire experience less painless and I arrived home hale and hearty. Saturday was spent lazing around at home. Saw TV for many hours (we have a brand new widescreen TV!).
Still waters run deep
My dear friend Sahil is getting married in November and the title of this post is how he announced this news to our school gang. All of a sudden there was a lot of commotion. Emails were flying back and forth. I did not check recently but around the 20th of this month the school mailing list was comfortably poised to break our record of 148 mails in a single month that was set was back in December 2002 (immediately after the group was formed and became active). Wedding announcements are one surefire way of getting people to mail to the group. And I aid that once in a while by rumouring that I myself am going to get married. I have already done it twice and I think the effect is wearing off so I will keep this particular tactic on the backburner for a while :-)
Welcome Destiny and Shantanu
The blogging bug has bitten 2 of my friends. A big Hi and welcome to Destiny and Shantanu.
Destiny used to blog before this too but she had given up blogging and resumed it about a week ago. She is a law student and I am sure we will see a lot of that in her posts... I just hope it is not all greek and latin to me ;-)
Shantanu too has started blogging. This is his first foray into writing/blogging and he is testing the waters before he commits himself to regular blogging. He writes quite well and I am positive he is here to stay... Have I ever mentioned that blogging is a addictive? :-) I especially look forward to reading the nice poems he pens once in a while...
In their honour and in the hope that more of my friends start blogging I hereby introduce the "Friends who blog" section in my blog (look on the right side bar). Happy blogging guys... Btw did I mention that both of them were with me in school.
Another friend of mine is also about to start blogging. Being the geek he is he is still trying to decide which software to use. *HINT* I hope he starts real soon... *HINT*

Mini, Suchitra and Mangal Pandey
Unexpected holiday
I love holidays. I love holidays in the middle of the week even more. I actually did not know that office was closed on the 7th (Wednesday) due to Ganesh Chaturthi. It was a pleasant surprise, akin to unexpectedly finding a 50 rupee note in your pockets. Mini SMSed me on Monday (or was it Tuesday?) and we decided to meet up and catch some movie at Inox or E-Square. I called up Suchitra and fortunately she too didn't have anything planned for Wednesday so she also joined us. Its been a long time since we had met. I think last I met Suchitra was more than an year ago and even Mini I met only many months back.
After a lot of poring over newspapers and calls among ourselves to reach a consensus we decided to see Mangal Pandey: the Rising at E-Square.
