I am back! Its been a looooong time since I posted anything. I was quite busy with office work (still am). Of course me being lazy didn't help at all. I have missed out on a lot of stuff but rest assured that I will be blogging about all the important stuff (including Sahil's wedding). And hopefully I will be blogging more regularly from today.

I have also been tweaking the software that powers this blog (Drupal CMS) to implement some changes I wanted. As you can see this blog has a brand new look. Those of you reading this in a feed reader or an email please come out of there and visit the blog in a browser. Your comments, suggestions and questions are most welcome and appreciated. I have not tested this theme in many browsers so I particularly want to know (especially from Internet Explorer users) if it looks alright in your browser. RAMBLE ALERT! You have been warned.

Yaaawn. There is a problem with middle-of-the-week holidays. Somehow my mind interprets the holiday as being Saturday and goes about accordingly planning things for the non-existent Saturday and the following-equally-non-existent Sunday. Except that what follows Wednesday is really a Thursday and on Thursday I have to go to office.

I haven't blogged about anything personal for some while. In fact now the main page of my blog seems like a running commentary of the sordid IIPM saga. I have been following the controversy from the beginning and things are quietening down now. Is is probably the lull before the storm since NDTV is rumoured to air a program about it tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch the program as I don't have access to a TV :-(

Hi Dad. Many many happy returns of the day. I know you will read this post sooner or later :-)

Well... Dad was 1 of the earliest readers of this blog... back in those days where probably the only other person reading it was me :-)

Many many Happy returns of the day to Dhaval too who shares his birthday with my Dad. October is a very happening month as far as birthdays go. Many from my school gang have their birthdays in October. Belated Happy Birthday to Ruchir too... Have a nice day and a great year guys!

Its 7:30 PM IST... I am still in office and am tired... very tired. Not physically of course but mentally tired from the tons of reading I have had to do to catch up on what I missed when I was on leave. I am literally fatigued by information overload. I have dealt with all the mails, read all the notices and alerts, received all the bills and made plans to pay them... but there are still 300+ unread items in my feed reader. Sometimes I am sorely tempted to right click and select "Mark All as read" choice... but I refrain. Because I know there are many gems hiding in there and I am somewhat phobic of missing out on something good. Is this some form of Net addiction? I think it is. I decided to quit for today when I realized that I was merely reading without comprehending.

Vacation over and am back in Pune. This is just the mandatory short post announcing my return. Am swamped with unread emails, unread blog posts, unpaid bills and small errands right now, not to mention office work. Will take a day or too to wade through all of them. I had a ball of a time in Ahmedabad... Will blog about it in detail tomorrow or the day after.
