It's been a long time since I blogged. As I had mentioned in a comment before it is difficult to blog when you have nothing to blog about. Add to it my laziness and no wonder that I have not blogged properly in a long long time.

Nothing new happening. Work is going on fine with its usual ups and downs, but mostly ups. As usual new assignments pouring in every week so am busy with leanring new things.

Have been feeling very homesick lately and therefore decided to go home this weekend, just for 2 days. I wish it was longer but due to many reasons it has to be short. Have already booked the tickets (going by train since flight tickets are too expensive :-( ) and will be in Ahmedabad for exactly a day and a half.

Happy Blogiversary to me! Actually Happy belated Blogiversary since it was yesterday, a year ago, I posted my first post on this blog.

I wanted this post to be longer, chokablock with memories and what I learnt and how I enjoyed blogging but I guess that will have to wait for the weekend. Suffice it to say that it has been a very satisfying learning experience and even though I have been lazy very frequently I intend to continue blogging for a long long time.

Hi! Long time no see... have been very very busy lately and therefore a detailed post will have to wait.

Work going on as usual. Am getting lots of new assignments and am usually upto my neck in work. I have become comfortable with a number of activities we do for clients but every week, on an average, brings with it at least one new activity that I have to do some research about and learn. All in all a very interesting time.

It is difficult to keep blogging when nothing interesting is happening in your life. Sometimes I want to write something in my blog but do not have a topic to blog about. Sometimes I have tons to blog about but cannot find the time. Right now it is the former.

I did not have any expectations when I went to the 11th Delhi Bloggers' Meet. I just wanted to get out of the home-office-home routine and go someplace else for a change. I not only got to go see nice places (IHC and TC) I also made a few new friends.

The late-latif-blogger award of course goes to me for blogging on Tuesday evening something that happened on Saturday evening. I can only parrot out the usual excuses of me being a bit lazy and being very busy.

As I said I did not have agenda when I went to the meet. I didn't know what to expect, what I would be doing, how long I would be there... nothing. I reached IHC a few minutes before time and went to the amphitheatre. The IHC is a very fundu place. It reminded me of IIM Ahmedabad. Simple architecture but at the same time very impressive. Large open spaces, hardly any direct sunlight and lots of plants made it a visual treat. There was a blogger there, an engineering student, who took many pics of IHC itself. I do not recall his name but I sure hope he puts some of those pics online. The amphitheatre was double-booked and for some time we were searching for alternate venues. Finally we just decided to assemble on some steps some distance away.

There were around 30 people for the meet. And boy what a diverse bunch it was... bloggers and non-bloggers, serious bloggers and totally casual ones, technology bloggers and bloggers blogging for social causes, young bloggers and middle-aged bloggers, dudes in jeans and dudes in kurtas... you get the picture. The special guests for the evening were Bill Thompson, Julian and Gareth from BBC were on an India tour to know more about technology and India. Nidhi from WebChutney had also come to spread the word about the to-be-launched online reality show called OK Tata Bye Bye.
