Comment moderation enabled on this blog

I have just enabled comment moderation on this blog. I have never wanted to do this and prefer that reader comments appear as soon as they are posted but the excessive amount of spam hitting this blog lately has left me with no choice.

Henceforth all comments by unauthenticated readers (i.e. unregistered users) will appear only after approval by me. Registered and logged in users can comment without their comments being sent to the moderation queue... if you want your comments to appear immediately without needing approval from me you get get create a new user account for yourself and use that to comment here.

Login issue

Hey Varun,

I didnt know if my account was already there or not so just gave it a go.

Entered my username and password and it brought me back to the login screen. So assumed I am not registered.

So when I went on to register myself it gave me an error that Sorry you are not allowed to look at this page.

I thought could be some issue with the site so I came leave a comment about it here and to my surprise saw that I have already been logged in.

I guess the first attempt did work but it did not give me any confirmation that I am logged on. Also cant see any setting for logging off.

cache is the culprit again

Hi Sahil,

Yeah... what you experienced is definitely an issue. It is due to the cache acting up again. Even after logging in Drupal (the CMS) displays the old login page from cache instead of the user's page.

Actually I have tried some common troubleshooting methods to make this problem go away but it refuses to go away. Since I intend to upgrade the blog to the latest version of Drupal next to next week I will will let this be for now.

There is actually a whole menu but I have disabled that for everybody except admin to make the interface simpler :-) I guess I will have to create a custom block for logged in users. It is on my to-do list. For now you can go to logout to log out.

OMG! Does the blog's name remind you of some hollow hand-waving managementesque speak :-( Anyways nice bumping into you too...

I just glanced through your blog... you have a... how do I put it?... very 'different' style of writing.
