Friday. My favourite day of the week. Because the weekend is here. However at least this weekend I will be working for at least one day and probably both days. I am not complaining though because I will be reading stuff most of the time and working on a presentation due for next week.

The weather here in Delhi has changed all of a sudden. Day before yesterday for around 15 minutes there was a mini-hailstorm. I did not believe it at first when my boss told me that it was hailstorm... I thought he was just kidding. I was like "hailstorm... in Delhi? Yeah right." But he was not kidding and it really was a hailstorm... strong winds, small irregular pieces of ice and rain. Before that it was generally hot during the day and used to get a little cold only very late at night. Since two days it has been quiet cool and today it is especially cold. It is cloudy and a light breeze is blowing... downside is all of this is inducing drowsiness in me.

Things are going on fine at work. It is a mini-avalanche of sorts and I am standing in its way. But I am enjoying it. Small projects keep on coming, big projects come about twice a month or so and at any time I am dealing with multiple things. This is a drastic change from my previous job profile. Client interaction was totally non-existent in my previous group and here I have something going on every other day.

People from HR-Recruitment and the finance department share the room where I sit and it is interesting eavesdropping on their conversations. I can hear people being interviewed, PLs becoming angry and shouting at somebody, new joinees roaming around with a confused look on their faces, onsite-offshore concalls (conference calls) etc. Whenever I feel sleepy I just zero in on one of these many interesting conversations... And talking of concalls reminds me of something. I am having my first concall ever on Monday :-)
