Day before yesterday I met Prof. Asim Banerjee, one of my professors from DA-IICT. He has come to Pune to attend a conference being held at NIA (National Insurance Academy). It was nice meeting him after such a long time (more than an year I think).

He is one of my all-time favourite professors because of his style of teaching and because he is very approachable. He had taken 2 of our courses: Operating Systems and Software Engineering. He is the only person I know who treated SE as a practical subject and not a boring theoretical one. We had a common project for SE and Web Apps course and it is a project that I particularly enjoyed doing. Of course we had to do all sorts of SE things, some of which we disliked but it was an excellent learning experience.

I like meeting my school and college teachers. They have a very different way of looking at you and they often make observations about you that nobody else can possibly make. Many of my former teachers have a knack of inspiring me and rejuvenating my thoughts. A nice frank chat often aids me in looking at things anew and getting out of a rut. And just keeping in touch with them, saying hi once in a while feels so nice and satisfying. And I am sure they are also happy to see their old students once in while.

Hmmm... Are you wondering about the title of this post? Well it is a small in-joke from my DA-IICT days. If you already know it you are smiling and if you don't... well I am not going to tell you :-)
