I am back! Its been a looooong time since I posted anything. I was quite busy with office work (still am). Of course me being lazy didn't help at all. I have missed out on a lot of stuff but rest assured that I will be blogging about all the important stuff (including Sahil's wedding). And hopefully I will be blogging more regularly from today.

I have also been tweaking the software that powers this blog (Drupal CMS) to implement some changes I wanted. As you can see this blog has a brand new look. Those of you reading this in a feed reader or an email please come out of there and visit the blog in a browser. Your comments, suggestions and questions are most welcome and appreciated. I have not tested this theme in many browsers so I particularly want to know (especially from Internet Explorer users) if it looks alright in your browser. You can leave your feedback in the comments to this post.

Major changes include:

• New look and feel. Simpler colours, larger fonts and lot of friendly whitespace. For the techies out there this theme is tableless, markup is semantic XHTML 1.0 Strict and all styling is through CSS. Yay!
• Lots of teeny weeny improvements such as previous/next navigation links below posts, comments display is more user friendly etc.
• Google ads make their debut. I am interested in seeing how these things work. And I definitely wouldn't mind a little extra passive income :-)
• New copyright statement (see footer). I am no longer publishing under a Creative Commons Licence. All original contents are now copyrighted exclusively by me. Of course you can still use content as long as it is fair use. I have good reasons for not using the CC license and I will elaborate about them in a later post.
• New Disclaimer. We live in a lawsuit-happy world and I just want to go that extra mile to make sure I do not get into trouble. The disclaimer reads The statements and opinions in this blog are the author's, and do not represent those of his employer, co-citizens, family, friends or co-workers. The author does not assume responsibility over comments he did not make on this blog. :-)

There are also a number of other tweaks that are not visible from outside but which should make both the blogging experience (for me) and reading experience (for you) better. I will be posting about the technical details regarding this blog very soon.

Those of you who are subscribed to feeds or subscribed by email will have noticed lots of things going haywire in the past week. Those were all due to me playing with Drupal. Sorry about that.
